So does weather effect the way a person performs in track and field? Well, after this last meet we seen some major differences in the times in most of the events. So, yes weather does play an important role. At the Linn Invite we has some great weather, warm for sprinters yet cool enough to be great for the long distance kids. After the first meet we had some times that were not where I was expecting them to be, and that worried me a great deal. So I was contemplating things about our training. Then we has this meet last Thusday and things were back on track and that put things to ease in my mind. From my earlier post we had a great performance by Sarah Koestner in the 3200 by setting the 3200 school record by 9 seconds. We also had a good performance by Alex Earls in both the shot-put and discus. Alex is just 1' away from the discus record. This record is also in danger of being broken within the next week or so. So congrats to all of the runners and throwers, we had a great meet and hopefully we will have more to come.
